Previously on Masterchef: Tessa and Nicole overcame the handicap of both being the same person to almost win immunity, but missed out, deeply shaming their families.
Tonight on Masterchef: the amateurs must cook for the Best Diners in the Country.
Wow! The BEST diners! This is a massive deal. It’s a huge honour, and a weighty responsibility. You would hate to stuff up in any way whatsoever when cooking for the BEST diners in all of Australia. Major, major stakes.
Oh, wait. It’s their families. It’s just their families. That’s who “the Best Diners” are.
I mean…that’s just lying. You’re just flat-out lying to us, Masterchef.

Anyway, before we get to that, the amateurs enter the kitchen and are informed that they will be split into two teams and made to make a four-course meal for the Best Diners (i.e. just some people) using the Best Ingredients. By the standards of how they selected the diners, the Best Ingredients should be a jar of Vegemite and some Saos. But actually they’re proper good ingredients: goat’s cheese, trout, wagyu beef and golden delicious apples. They’re all from fancy farms and stuff so I guess they’re pretty good probably.
