Coldstream
Mar 12, 2021
The sun’s coming up now over the ranges
I’m driving east and contemplating changes
Looking for a shady spot to sleep under some trees
And by the time I get to Coldstream I might even find some peace
Climbing higher round a winding road
Looking over cliffs to lose my load
It might have been an hour or it might have been a year
But by the time I get to Coldstream everything might become clear
The sun’s going down now behind my head
Here’s to another night without a bed
There’s strange cries in the forest and there’s whispers in the west
By the time I get to Coldstream I might find some time to rest
